Retro Travertine Stone Chandelier

A disc of natural yellow travertine forms the shade, hung from a slim cord on an iron fitting. The stone glows from behind, so the light carries the warm tone and pitted grain of the travertine itself.

Design and materials

Each shade is cut from natural yellow travertine, so the grain and color vary from piece to piece, and the fitting is finished in iron. The weight and raw surface suit Nordic retro, warm minimalist, and wabi sabi interiors.

Where it works

Covering 5 to 10 square meters, the 30 cm size suits a bedside, balcony, or corridor and the 40 cm version a dining table or kitchen bench. Keep the surrounding palette earthy, lime plaster, pale oak, and unglazed ceramic, so the stone reads as material rather than ornament.
