Washi Paper Pendant Light

A hand-knitted washi paper shade diffuses warm or cool LED light through its fibrous surface, creating a soft, even luminous volume in the manner of traditional Japanese Akari lanterns.

Design and materials

The shade is washi rice paper with a polished chrome frame on an E27 base, available in multiple sizes and forms inspired by the Noguchi Akari series; the translucent organic texture suits Japanese, wabi-sabi, and Scandinavian interiors.
